"Our garden club for Broad Bay Island will meet the second Tuesday of September at the
home of one of our members. This will be the only meeting we have on the second Tuesday.
All others will be the first Tuesday of the month. Meeting in September is our welcome
Mimosa. If you are interested in going please contact Sue Maume at 481-2045 for
information about the address.
We will meet the first Tuesday of October and November at a members home to be
determined. First Tuesday of December will be our Holiday luncheon at Westminister. We
take January off and will meet the first Tuesday of February, March and April at a members
home to be determined.
Our May meeting is a picnic at a members home on the first Tuesday of the month. June we
have a evening social from 6:30 to 8:30pm the first Tuesday. Our spouses are welcome to
come to this event. All meetings start at 10:00am. We try to have a speaker that speaks
for about 30 minutes. First 30 minutes of our meetings we socialize, then we have the
speaker and then our "meeting".
As of right now our only fund raiser is a plant sale that we do in April. We have usually try
taking the second Tuesday of the month to go to the front of the neighborhood to do a clean up
or trim a few things. Occasionally we have to replant things. We do leave the heavy trimming
to a pro.
Our first meeting we will be collecting dues of anyone interested in joining the club. We will
have a directory go out hopefully by October. Must have dues paid to receive a directory.
Dues are currently $30.
Please consider joining us. We do not meet in July and August. We will send out an e mail to
the members to remind them of the meetings and where they will be held about a week in
advance. "
